One-sheet movie poster, featuring Spanish text, issued for
Tarzan the Ape Man
, released by MGM in 1932. It must be noted that this poster is NOT a foreign poster. It was printed in the United States for use in American theaters that catered to Spanish-speaking audiences. As such, it features the same graphics as those used on the English-language poster except for variances in color. With the exception of the color differences and, of course, the Spanish text, this poster is identical to the standard one sheet issued at the time, which, as any movie poster collector knows, is exceedingly rare and the most recent auction sale for the English-language 1932 one sheet was ,725 in 2013. As any vintage movie collector also knows prices have dramatically increased since then.
The poster (26.75 x 40.75 inches; visible dimensions) has benefited from restoration to a number of tears, both in the body and border areas, that has resulted in its having an overall Excellent to Mint appearance. Framed to total dimensions of 30.5 x 44.5 inches
