DESCRIPTION:  Still operating today.  Back reads, “Fairbanks, Alaska – “River Boat Discovery,” an experience into Alaska’s past and present.”  Photo by Bruce H. Baker.  An Alaska Natural Color Card.
CONDITION: Unused; never mailed. Grade 2.
Grading System
Grade: 1 – Nearly perfect postcard; corners are square with clean edges, no creases.  Card may have slight natural yellowing from age.  Card has not been used and is free from writing, cancellations, stamps, printed matter, or defects.
Grade: 2 – Corners or edges have exceptionally light wear but no creases.  Card may have slight natural yellowing from age.  Card has not been used and is free from writing, cancellations, stamps, printed matter, or defects.
Grade: 3 – This card is
middle of the road
with minor faults such as some corner wear and/or edge wear.  Postcard may have writing on front and/or back and include some yellowing from age.  There are no creases but may have slight indentations from use and/or handling.
Grade: 4 – Has some faults, including corner and edge wear, light creasing, slight tears or bends, stains, etc.  This card could be lightly soiled, postally used or unused, have writing, printed matter, cancellations, stamp, or stamp-remnants, etc. on the back and/or front.
Grade: 5 – Is a low-grade postcard, with many faults.  This postcard is damaged, which could include tears, pinholes, extreme creasing, chips, missing corners, etc.  This card could be heavily soiled, postally used or unused, have writing, printed matter, cancellations, stamp, or stamp-remnants, etc. on the back and/or front.  A postcard of this condition would be chosen for its image view.
