Hi, here is a very nice set of 22 Mr. Moto detective movie poster fridge magnets. Perfect for fans of classic Hollywood detective movies or famed actor Peter Lorre. These colourful, unique and attractive fridge magnets were manufactured in Canada and are old warehouse stock.
They have never been used
and may have some faint or minor storage wear. They are laminated for durability and have a magnetic strip on the back. Each fridge magnet measures approximately 3 and 3/4" by 2.5" wide.

About the Mr. Moto Movie series: From 1937 to 1939, 20th Century-Fox Studios made a series of eight Mr. Moto detective movies. All starring Peter Lorre as the judo using, Asian detective. With the great success of 20th Century-Fox's Charlie Chan movies; Darryl F. Zanuck apparently saw an opportunity to make even more coin. Mr. Moto had the intellectual prowess of Chan but most of his movies placed an emphasis on more physical action. Thus Mr. Moto was a judo expert! The film series ran out of gas rather quickly and Peter Lorre tired of playing the character. Mr. Moto lay dormant for 25 years until someone at Fox thought Mr. Moto should return. In 1965 a forgettable movie starring Henry Silva as the detective, now turned more spy than anything else (a possible rival for James Bond???). Needless to say "The Return of Mr. Moto" movie was a flop and Mr. Moto went back into the Fox storage room to gather dust and not be seen again.
