  • Condition: This original Lobby Card exhibits amazingly rich colors with excellent details of the images. The flaws that exist are generally unobtrusive to the appearance of the Lobby Card and most occur along the borders of the Lobby Card. There are multiple pin holes in the Lobby Card, which are at the top two corners, near the "B" in "BARBARA" on the top left, in the name "STANWYCK", to the left of STANWYCK's hand and head and between their two faces (hard to see these), in the top bluish area, and along the borders. There are chips (look like ragged pin holes) in the bottom two corners. There are bluish, faint smudges (1/2") on both the left and right borders. There is a chip along the bottom border along with creasing. There is a tiny (1/16") mark on the man's black jacket, and the tips of the corners are worn. There is restorative tape on the reverse and on the front left border. Still original Lobby Card has a very presentable appearance. Please review the photos carefully.

    Description

This is the Original (1sh) 1935 Lobby Card
    ANNIE OAKLEY
    .  It was used by
    RKO
to promote this movie when it was released in 1935.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
Barbara Stanwyck, Preston Foster, Melvyn Douglas
, Moroni Olsen, Pert Kelton, Andy Clyde, Chief Thunderbird, Margaret Armstrong, Delmar Watson, Adeline Craig, and Iron Eyes Cody.  It was directed by George Stevens.
This partially restored movie Lobby Card measures 11" x 14".
It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing.
This original movie Lobby Card is graded C7.5 Very Fine Minus.
Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   This Lobby Card has a very presentable appearance and could be framed and presented for display - as is - with excellent results.  Restoration could be done to alleviate the numerous pin holes, which occur along the borders and some in the image area, along with resolving the chips and creases along the borders.  But as is, this original Lobby Card of
    ANNIE OAKLEY
is very presentable and the main image is beautiful - and striking, as is Ms. Stanwyck.
We believe that the original Lobby Card
    ANNIE OAKLEY
has significant investment value.  The normal One Sheet original movie poster of
ANNIE OAKLEY is valued in the thousands
.  And we have not come across many, if any, original 1935
    ANNIE OAKLEY
Lobby Cards in our research of this Title.
We ship using USPS Priority Mail, which for Domestic buyers arrives in 1 to 3 business days.  Both Domestic and International buyers can go to the "See Details" link on this listing across from the Shipping information to determine shipping cost, delivery method, and time to arrive.  However, USPS Media Mail cannot be used for movie posters according to USPS regulations.
If you have any questions, please let me know.  I have been collecting original movie posters for over 30 years.  I understand that buyers, like myself, expect representations of items for sale that are accurate, complete, and truthful.   The photos are of the actual item you will be buying.  We do  not use "stock" photos.  If you are not 100% satisfied, we guarantee a full refund.  No problem.
Thanks for taking a look.  I have a number of other original movie posters and Lobby Cards listed and generally we are listing new items each week.
