This film is a sequel to the 1929 film THEY HAD TO SEE PARIS, where Pike Peters (Rogers) is an Oklahoma mechanic who finds himself part owner of an oil field and, therefore, rich. But now returning from their trip to Paris, Peters is pessimistic about the family's indulgent lifestyle; indeed, by 1932 the family is facing financial ruin.
