  • Condition: This original Lobby Card exhibits a very strong main image with superb color and definition. The main image is generally free of any obtrusive flaws. There are 2 pin holes, 1 on each top corner. There is a small scrap (1/2") on the left side along the border to the left of the name "GARBO". There is a small spot (1/8") on the bottom border to the left of the "R" in "GRAND". There is very minor spotting in the bottom 1/3 of the Lobby Card. There are 2 short fold lines on the bottom left corner and on the top left corner (and 2 small spots above the top left fold line). There is also a tear (1/4") on the top left corner. There is a 1 1/2" piece of light tape on the reverse for a tear. And there are several faint vertical lines on the left side border. There is no soiling or smudges, and no loss of color. There is minor loss of paper at the top left corner. The edges are excellent and the colors have held up well and are amazing. Please review the photos carefully.

    .  It was used by
    MGM
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1932.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Greta Garbo, John Barrymore, Joan Crawford, Wallace Beery, Lionel Barrymore
    , Lewis Stone, Jean Hersholt, Robert McWade, Purnell Pratt, Ferdinand Gottschalk, Rafaela Ottiano, Morgan Wallace, Tully Marshall, Frank Conroy, Murray Kinnell, and Edwin Maxwell.   It was directed by Edmund Goulding.
    This unrestored movie Lobby Card measures 11" x 14".
    It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing.
    This original movie Lobby Card is graded C7, Fine/Very Fine.
    Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   The Lobby Card has a very presentable appearance and could be framed and presented for display - as is - with excellent results.  Proper framing could minimize the flaws that exist along the card's border, where most of the flaws are located.  Restoration of the Lobby Card could definitely alleviate the border issues, minor spotting, and the pin holes.  We believe that the cost of restoration would be exceeded by the increase of value in the Lobby Card, if it were to be restored.  But restoration is not necessary to attain a striking display of this iconic movie.

    has a (conservatively) estimated value of ,000 (for a C8 Very Fine graded One Sheet) and that it, along with any other sized movie posters of

    - including Lobby Cards - will continue to rise in value.  In addition, the C7 Fine/Very Fine condition of this Lobby Card, particularly the main image which is better than a C7, would probably be hard to find, or find at a reasonable price.  Finally, this Lobby Card really looks great - my photos do not give it justice.
