My wife, Carolyn, and I were ‘World Class’ collectors of Hollywood memorabilia.
One of our larger items is an 84” x 45” FRAMED linen backed poster of ‘THE FIREFLY’ 1937 movie starring Jeanette MacDonald and Allan Jones.
We purchased this poster in Hollywood in 1994.
We had the poster linen backed professionally in Los Angeles.
We brought it home to St. Louis where we had it professionally covered with plexiglass to prevent damage to the poster and framed with the elegant black enamel frame you see in the photo.
As I’m sure you know, framing a 3 sheeter poster is a ‘Quest’.
We added this poster to our significant Jeanette MacDonald collection.
For decades we were members of the Jeanette MacDonald International Fan Club.
In the lower right corner is “TOOKER LITHO CO NY” and in the lower left corner is “LITHO IN USA 3-3 THE FIREFLY”.
The FIREFLY was a 1937 MGM movie.
IT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION!!!
This is ideal for a restaurant, museum, commercial theater, home theater or many other venues.
I feel certain it is probably the only FRAMED 3 sheeter of THE FIREFLY left in the world.
