  • Condition: This original, seldom found original Lobby Card starring Bela Lugosi displays solid, beautiful colors with excellent detail of the images on a very clean background. The minor flaws that exist are unobtrusive to the appearance of the Lobby Card. There are multiple pin holes (4 to 5) in the corners with 1 to 2 pin holes along each of the 4 borders. There is a thin, faint line in the image area which goes from the top/middle horizontally through the top of the greenish door to the right side vanilla border (see photo). The corners tips are worn a little and rounded a bit. There is writing on the reverse but it does not show through to the front of the Lobby Card. There is no tape or tape residue, no tears, and no soiling or smudges. There is no loss of paper or color. The Lobby Card has a low to low/medium gloss. A very clean appearance with solid, bright colors. Please review the photos carefully.

    Huntley Gordon, George Meeker, and Hattie McDaniel.  It was directed by Clifford Sanforth.
    This unrestored movie Lobby Card measures 11" x 14".
    It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing.
    This original movie Lobby Card is graded C8, Very Fine.
    Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   The Lobby Card has an excellent appearance and is immediately ready for framing and display.  The flaws that are described on this listing do not significantly detract from the appearance of the Lobby Card.   The colors and detail in the image are amazing for such a vintage Lobby Card.

    ...
    James Houghland (Mailes), inventor of a new method by which television signals can be instantaneously sent anywhere in the world, refuses to sell the process to television companies, who then send agents to acquire the invention any way they can.
    On the night of his initial broadcast Houghland is mysteriously murdered in the middle of his demonstration and it falls to Police Chief Nelson (Mowbray) to determine who the murderer is from the many suspects present.
