    Description

    An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm])
The Real Glory, the 1939 Henry Hathaway historic Spanish Moro (Spanish Filipino Muslim immigrants) uprising romantic adventure thriller ("The amazing story of the U.S. army doctor's Heroic adventures!"; "Nights made for Tropic love!"; "Always outnumbered never outfought"; "He fought to save men's lives"; "A man... A girl and a thousand bolo knives"; "Pulse-firing action drama of the Philippines!"; "To the last man!"; "From the novel by Charles L. Clifford") starring Gary Cooper, David Niven, Andrea Leeds, Reginald Owen, and Broderick Crawford
Important Added Info: This was printed by Associated Displays Corporation which was a company based in New York City. Before it was discovered by noted poster dealer/historian Walter Reuben, collectors did not know the name of this company (and thought it to be located in the Midwest), and it is often referred to as the "other company" (and we will continue to refer to it that way, since collectors know it that way). From 1936 to roughly 1941, this company printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts, half-sheets, three-sheets, 40x60s and stills) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The items almost always feature a tiny legal disclaimer and cast credits only. The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They did this by combining elements from different film scenes onto one poster or card. Sometimes, "other company" posters have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters.
    Storyline
In 1906 the American army pulls out of Mindanao leaving a handful of officers to try and get the Philippines Constabulary into shape to protect the native population from ruthless invaders. By reputation and by their exploits the fearless zealots initially strike terror into the local militia but the doctor on the post starts to finds ways to combat this.
DON'T BE FOOLED; AN ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER IN THE FUTURE WILL BE WORTH MORE THAN A REPRODUCTION THAT WILL BE WORTHLESS!!!
