20th Century Fox Original Three Sheet Poster for the 1938 film RASCALS starring Jane Withers, Rochelle Hudson, Robert Hilcox, Borrah Minevitch, Steffi Duna and Frank Reicher. The movie was directed by H. Bruce Humberstone. Jane Withers was the OTHER child star at 20th Century Fox in the decade of the 1930s. Her career as a child actor has been described, at least by one wag, as "the poor man's Shirley Temple." This is not entirely inaccurate, we suppose. What Withers lacked in terms of Shirley Temple's amazing dimples, she made up for with spunk. An entirely charming little girl, she brought energy and a winning charm to her roles. Withers went on to a long career in films, and famously appeared as one of the crowd at Riata in George Steven's GIANT (1956). This poster has been backed with a very old kraft paper backing which should be removed. Completely rebacking this poster would bring it zinging back to life.
