    Here is a postally used photo postcard showing the leader board of the 1912 Solomon Derby in Nome Alaska. The Solomon Derby was a 65-mile-long sled dog race between Nome and Solomon along the coast of the Bering Sea. The board shows a group of mushers, the purse, the race conditions and more. The name Chas Johnson is circled. Charles Johnson might have been deemed the winner. There are more notes about him below the board. Used and postmarked Nome, March 11, 1912. The card was mailed to the Honorable James Wickersham, Delegate of Alaska in Washington DC.
