  • Condition: This original, One Sheet (27" x 41"), restored, and linen backed movie poster displays beautiful, solid colors with amazing detail of both the actors and the images on a clean background. The few, minor post-restoration flaws that exist are unobtrusive to the appearance of the poster. There are 2 tiny (1/32") dots in the "O" in "NORTH". There is 1 small (1/8") dot in the "P" in "SPAWN". There is very faint red rub-off from the background color into the picture at the top right. There is an extremely faint smudge in the "N" in "NORTH". There is a light scrap and a small (1/8") dot t the top left to the right of the "T" in "RAFT". There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. There is no soiling. There is no loss of paper or color. The poster has a low gloss. This original movie poster is truly gorgeous and is immediately ready to be framed and displayed with superior results. Please review the photos carefully.

    This is the Original (1sh) movie poster
    SPAWN OF THE NORTH.
    It was used by
    Paramount
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1938.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    George Raft, Henry Fonda, Dorothy Lamour,
    Akim Tamiroff, John Barrymore, Louise Platt, Lynne Overman, Fuzzy Knight, Vladimir Sokoloff, and Duncan Renaldo.  It was directed by Henry Hathaway.
    This restored movie poster is rolled and linen backed and measures 28.75" x 42.25".  The poster itself measures 27" x 41".    Prior to restoration the poster had been Folded.
    Most original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded.  This is not considered a flaw or defect.
    This original movie poster is graded C8.5, Very Fine/Near Mint.
    Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.
    The pre-restoration grade was C6.5 Fine Plus.  Restoration corrected
    edge and fold wear, slight fold separation, tears, creasing, paper chips, pinholes, and/or unobtrusive stains.
    The poster now displays beautifully and
    has a very clean appearance and is immediately ready for framing and display.   The colors are stunning, yet subtle, and the images of the actors are equally colorful and dramatic.
