  • Condition: This original movie poster exhibits a classic Western scene on a seemingly flawless background. There are some minor flaws but they mainly occur along the edges of the poster. There are multiple tears along the edges along the right and left side of the poster (about 1/4" to 1" each) but they do not protrude into the image. There is minor staining at the top right corner of the poster along the edge. There are intermittent indentations (bumps) mostly in the top half of the poster; such bumps are relatively common in both rolled and Folded posters (this poster being Rolled). There are no pin holes, no tape or tape residue, and no soiling or smudges. There is no loss of paper or color. Being Rolled, there is no separation at any points in the poster. The poster has a low gloss. The poster's colors are gorgeous although subdued. The images of the horses are quite striking. The main image is (generally) flawless per our inspection. Please review the photos carefully.

    in 1931.   It is for Episode 2 -- "The Stairway of Doom" Serial.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Tom Tyler
    , William Desmond, Tom Santschi, Dorothy Gulliver, Philo McCullough, Frank Lanning, Tom Dugan, Joe Bonomo, Frank Hagney, Halie Sullivan, Kermit Maynard, and W.J. Holmes, Dick Dickinson.  It was directed by D. Ross Lederman.

    This unrestored movie poster is graded C8, Very Fine.
    Original movie posters are graded, from the top down, as C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Very Good to Very Fine), C6 (Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc.  It is difficult to find any C10 (Mint) original movie posers pre 1985.  This poster has a clean, sharp, bright look to it and can be immediately framed and displayed.  The issues of the tears at the edges and some staining at the edges can be alleviated with proper framing.  There is also an additional curl along the top half of the poster, so that if you lay the poster flat, held down since it is rolled, you will notice another "curl" or bump that runs horizontally along the middle of the top half of the poster.  This has not created any creases or other issues and will quickly be corrected once the poster is laid flat and properly framed.  Once framed, this poster will make a beautiful display, especially for those fans of the Western genre.  Of which I am one.
