  • Condition: This original Half Sheet (22" x 28") restored, rolled, and paperbacked movie poster displays strong, solid colors of the typical pastel-like shades of cowboy outfits with excellent detail of the images on a pristine background. After close inspection under bright light of this restored original movie poster we found no flaws, but as always we may have missed a very minor one here or there. But I really do go over all of my originals before posting them in a very scrutinized manner. There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. There is no soiling or smudging. There is no loss of paper or color. The poster has a low to low/medium gloss. Please review the photos carefully.

    It was used by
    Republic
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1936.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Lois Wilde, and Lon Chaney Jr.
    It was directed by Mack Wright.
    This restored and paperbacked movie poster was Rolled and measures 22" x 28".
    After restoration and paper backing the poster is now Flat.  We are storing it Flat and it will be mailed Flat.  We believe by storing and mailing it Flat that this will better help tp preserve its integrity and grade.
    This original movie poster is graded C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint.
    Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.
    Prior to restoration this poster was graded a C6 Fine.  Restoration corrected pinholes, toning (loss of brilliance of color but not loss of color), creasing, minor paper loss on the edges, and tears and chipping along and near the borders.
    This original movie poster now displays beautifully.  Simply beautiful with no (discernible) flaws.
