  • Condition: This original Lobby Card exhibits beautiful solid colors with excellent detail of the images on a very clean background. There is a repaired tear (2") with a small chip (1/4") on the left border near center and about 1/2" into the image area (but it is rather hard to see). There is tape residue on the right side near the bottom on and above the word "by". There is minor wear at the 4 corner tips. There is a 1.5" scuff mark on the bottom above the name "COMPSON". Another faint scuff in the hat of the man on the left. There is run-off (smudge)/scrap of the Card ink on the top right in and around the "PR" in "PRODUCTION". There is a gouge in the image area on the left side with a scrap coming down off of it. Thee are 2 whitish patches on the jacket of the man on the left, but these appear to be production flaws. There is a faint scrap at the top thru the "E" in "SPOILERS" vertically down to the man's hat. High gloss. Overall presentable. Please review the photos carefully.

    Paramount
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1930.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Gary Cooper, Kay Johnson, Betty Compson, William 'Stage' Boyd
    , Harry Green, Slim Summerville, Lloyd Ingraham, James Kirkwood, Oscar Apfel, Knute Erickson, and Jack Trent.  It was directed by Edward Carewe.
    This unrestored movie Lobby Card measures 11" x 14".
    It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing.
    This original movie Lobby Card is graded C7.5, Very Fine Minus.
    Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   The main image of the Lobby Card is very clean with most of the flaws occurring along the borders with some intruding a tad into the image area (see photos).  This original Lobby Card can be framed and displayed - as is - and be very presentable.
    Restoration of the Lobby Card would repair and eliminate all of the aforementioned flaws.  For Lobby Cards, restoration is sometimes a little more expensive due to the thicker paper that Lobby Cards need to have repaired.  But if you are interested in this Lobby Card and would like to have it restored we can (1) have it restored for you and add the cost of restoration to the price of the Lobby Card or (2) refer you to one of the professional restoration companies that we use, wit great results.
