    Description

United Artists Original U.S. Insert Card Poster (14x36) Fine Plus to Very Fine Condition
Original U.S. Insert Card Poster (14x36) for the Edmund Goulding drama, THE TRESPASSER (1929) starring Gloria Swanson and Robert Ames. Swanson originally hired writer/director Goulding to help her complete QUEEN KELLY, the unfinished silent epic she had started with Erich von Stroheim. After spending months editing Stroheim's footage, Goulding persuaded Swanson to make THE TRESPASSER instead. He wrote the script in three weeks, the movie was in the theaters by the end of the year, and Swanson was able to recoup enough money to pay off the investors of QUEEN KELLY. This film was Swanson's talkie debut and became a huge critical success and box office hit. Swanson was nominated for her second Best Actress Oscar. This arresting U.S. insert card is rolled and has been lightly restored. Fine Plus to Very Fine Condition
