  • Condition: This original, C7.5 (Very Fine Minus) Title Lobby Card displays rich, solid colors with amazing detail of the images. The flaws that exist are generally unobtrusive with only the ones in the borders being more obtrusive. Those border flaws include large (1/4') pin holes in all 4 corners that result in missing paper, as if made by a paper punch. In the image area there is a 1.5" censor stamp to the right of center. There are light scuff marks on the bottom right, below and to the right of "Chapter 2". There is a 1.5 faint crease on the bottom left in the blue/white area - hard to see it. There is a faint scrap in the Title in the "PERI" in "WHISPERING". There is a tiny (1/32") pock mark to the left of the "U" in "LUGOSI". There is another one to the left of the "W" in "WHISPERING". There is no tape or tape residue and no tears. There is no soiling. There is no loss of color or paper (except paper at those pin holes). Low to medium gloss. Please review the photos carefully.

    THE WHISPERING SHADOW, Chapter 2 - The Collapsing Room
    .  It was used by
    Mascot
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1933.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Bela Lugosi, Viva Tattersall, Malcolm McGregor
    , George J. Lewis, Henry B. Walthall, Robert Warwick, Roy D'Arcy, Karl Dane, Lloyd Whitlock, Bob Kortman, Lafe McKee, William Desmond, and Yakima Canutt.  It was directed by Colbert Clark and Albert Herman.
    This unrestored movie Title Lobby Card measures 11" x 14"
    .  It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing and will be mailed Flat.
    This original movie Title Lobby Card is graded C7.5, Very Fine Minus.
    Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5  (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   The Lobby Card has a very presentable appearance and could be framed and presented for display - as is - with very good results.  Proper framing could minimize the flaws that exist along the card's border, where most of the flaws are located, particularly the large pin holes in the corners.
    The flaws in the image area are not overly obtrusive at all, except for the Censor Stamp.  In some circles, collectors and fans may see the Censor Stamp as a sign that the item is an authentic original, which it certainly does bring this authenticity to the piece.  Than again, other collectors or fans would find the Censor Stamp to just be a flaw that distracts from the piece.  If you are interested in this Title Lobby Card we could offer to have it restored for you, removing the Censor Stamp and the other flaws.  The cost of restoration would just be added to the cost of the Title Lobby Card.  Just let us know if you are interested in this approach.
