  • Condition: This original movie Lobby Card has superbly strong colors and great definition, including the artwork to the right. The flaws that exist do not significantly detract from the appearance of the Lobby Card. There is a vertical line/scratch along the left side of the Lobby Card in the blue background area from the top of the Lobby Card through to the "T" in "TRADER" at the bottom. There is a tiny white spot (1/32")in that blue area on the left side in the middle. There are miscellaneous small marks (about 1/8") in the bluish background area under the "A" in "TRADER" and to the right of the "N" in "HORN". There is slight toning in the border area. There is slight fading of the lettering on the bottom right that reads "Country of Origin USA". There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. There is no loss of paper or color. There is no soiling or smudges. The edges are excellent. The main image is superb. Please review the photos carefully.

    TRADER HORN
    .  It was used by
    MGM
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1931.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Harry Carey, Edwina Booth
    , Duncan Renaldo, Mutia Omoolu, and Olive Golden.  It was directed by W.S. Van Dyke.
    This unrestored movie Lobby Card measures 11" x 14".
    It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing.
    This original movie Lobby Card is graded C7.5, Very Fine Minus.
    Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   The Lobby Card has a very presentable appearance and could be framed and presented for display - as is - with excellent results.  Restoration could be done to alleviate the scrap marks and the intermittent marks.  We believe that the cost of restoration would be exceeded by the increase of value in the Lobby Card, if it were to be restored.  But restoration is not necessary to attain a striking display of this superb Lobby Card.

    has significant estimated value.  In addition, the C7.5 Very Fine Minus condition of this Lobby Card, particularly the main image, would probably be hard to find, or find at a reasonable price.  Finally, this Lobby Card really looks great - my photos and the flash do not give it justice.
