    Postcard - Broadway Street, Skagway, Alaska
    Some of the false-fronted buildings on Skagway's main street date from 1897 and '98, when Skagway was founded, at the start of the Klondike Gold Rush. Steady employment for Skagway's citizens is provided by the Whit Pass & Yukon Railroad, completed in 1900, built along the route of the famous "Trial of '98".
