    Description

Original 20th Century-Fox Three Sheet Poster (41x81). Folded. Very Good.
Original 20th Century-Fox Three Sheet Poster (41x81) for the Norman Taurog musical comedy, YOU CANÕT HAVE EVERYTHING (1937) starring Alice Faye, The Ritz Brothers, Don Ameche, Charles Winninger, and singer Tony Martin. This was also the film debut of Gypsy Rose Lee, who was still going by her real name Louise Hovick because studio executives were afraid her stage name would scare people away. Starving playwright (Faye) meets Broadway director (Ameche), who then falls in love with her even though he already has a demanding fiancŽ (Lee). Musical notes and showbiz razzle-dazzle are the motif surrounding portraits of the stars on this regal stone lithograph poster. Worn along the edges with some small holes, we can grade this poster as very good only. Linen-backing is recommended for this great old litho. Ask us about poster restoration services.
